Light Heart

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

I’ve always been light hearted but circumstances doesn’t always make it easy, for anyone. Yet, I find that it’s worth the effort to carry around a light heart.

Borrowed Balloon

Monday, June 28th, 2010

I had one of the worst weeks. I needed something to cheer me up. So, I recalled one of the best days I’ve had in a while…

I was at a local mall and saw some women with a lot of balloons right next to the Breast Cancer/Mammogram Awareness table. I dared to ask for a balloon! But the lady denied and said, “It’s only for decoration and for kids.” So when she wasn’t looking, I took one. And decided to walk around town with it tied to my purse.

Lady "Bag"

I was a bit giddy like a kid. What grown women would walk around town like this?

Coffee, Gelato, + Balloon

No matter how silly I looked I didn’t care! Because this man found the perfect accessories!

The Perfect Accessory

At the end of the night, I decided to pass on the fun and tied the balloon to a stranger’s car.

What I left Behind

We’re all on borrowed “helium”. So why not make the best and most of it?

Lastly, to women of a certain age, remember to get a mammogram once a year!

String Theory

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Bare with me…String Theory keeps Physicists postulating about the overall make up of the universe from atoms, to hadrons, to quarks while the M-Theory tries to tie in different String Theories.

Here’s my version of the String Theory: It is something that keeps a person, like me, in one-piece and not fall to pieces. In short, it is a strong force that keeps a quarky* person  whole.

I hear it’s best to put your eggs in different baskets so, there are lots of things that keep me in tact such as, love in its many forms.

I’m curious, what are the strong forces that keeps your world together?

And yes, that’s me, stringy and ecstatic, in 2007.

in one-piece and not fall to pieces.

12 Yellow Roses

Monday, December 28th, 2009

I had a terrible day. I tried to cheer myself up by: people watching, blowing bubbles, etc. But nothing worked.

In my quest to find yummy cheerful snacks at the grocery store, I was greeted by beautiful yellow roses. “That’s it,” I thought. “Those will make me happy!”

A Dozen Yellow Roses

Yet, I decided against flowers for myself this time. I had a better idea.

First Car

Yellow Rose #1

I bought 12 yellow roses and wrote nice notes on flower cards. Then, I drove around the city and left a rose and note on random cars, vans, trucks, and even a scooter.

Last Car

Yellow Rose #12: You can't see it here but the bumper sticker said "Arrrg....goes the pirate." How cute is that?!

Yellow Rose #12: I thought it was fitting to leave the last one here.

This adventure ended a terrible day and made a happy night!

Sorry about the quality of the images, I had to go stealth mode and use my camera phone instead.
