Kiss a Rose

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

What happens when two hugs,

two kisses,

and a cherry on top come together?…

"On top"

You get roses full of kisses!

I’ve made a tradition giving this to friends on Valentine’s Day. Now, I share it with you!

PS1. I learned how to make these in high school in the Horticulture Club :) Er many…years ago. It’s  simple enough that you might make it using just the below image. Perhaps for your Valentine?

PS2. Just in case and thanks to this thing called the internet, this great and easy how-to guide from Hershey’s is available!

PS3. Advanced Happy Valentine’s Day/Singles Awareness Day!

I made this one when I was out with my mom at a Filipino restaurant.  The whole time I was making this, she was simply shaking her head. Good thing I’m an adult and she can’t tell me what to do anymore. Heeeheee.

Left Over Food Art

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

I’m sure that I’m not the only one who does this. So if you’re out there, let’s be friends!

The first traceable Left Over Food Art (LOFA) I created was in May 2006 but I think it started sooner than that, say when I was a kid! Did you ever play with your food as a kid?
Sometimes there are some things you can’t or don’t eat like lemon wedges or personally un-tasty garnishes like cilantro. I always feel bad about not finishing what’s on my plate but creating something out of what’s left makes me feel a little less guilty.

This picture of me is taken at a restaurant in Northern Greece in 2006 while studying abroad. This one got to be pretty elaborate with the wine glass stand.
