I made this simple poster. It says…

The Big Climb

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Sunday, March 21, 2010 marks the day when I walked up 1,311 steps with Tammy and 6,000 other people!! The energy and adrenaline was infectious!

It was at the Columbia Tower to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Kids as young as 5 years old, the deaf, blind, asthmatic, a woman suffering from pneumonia, etc challenged themselves to climb 69 floors. Hamburger climbed, too!

We climbed in style, 80′s style :) and made sure to do a super stretch before.

It wasn’t easy but it wasn’t impossible. We finished in less than 30 minutes! The best part was the jump down ;)

My goal was a measly $123.45. Yip Yip Horay, I raised $378.13. BIG THANKS to those who donated!!!!

It was such an incredible event to take part in! I think it’s important to leave a mark in this world. Don’t you think?

May in Wonderland

Monday, March 15th, 2010

I saw Alice in Wonderland this past weekend with Suzie, Tammy, and my 9-year old nephew . I loved the fanciful world of Wonderland, especially on a huge 3D screen. It certainly met my expectations!

So, I must have inadvertently drank a lot of “Drink Me” potion because I’ve grown curiously big!

Mastering the Joy of Blogging

Monday, March 8th, 2010

The sixth month birthday of this blog came by without even me noticing. Only until after re-watching the movie Julie & Julia, the thing that  inspired me to start this blog, did I remember.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone is reading this besides me and a couple of friends. Measuring its dent in the grander world is hard. I just want to help spread joy, love, and fun. But at times the pessimist in me says, “May, what is this? This is pointless. You should just stop!”

Upon further consideration, I noticed that nowadays I am constantly challenged to look and appreciate things beyond what they appear to be. My photography skills have improved dramatically. And by way of association, my web design skills as well. Last and not least, my life has more joy!

To those reading this, a huge thanks and hugs!
